I’ve been wandering about through many industries since graduating college with a degree in religious studies from the University of Virginia. Through a series of fortunate events I ended up in the event industry two years ago, focusing on wedding planning and coordination and have found a true passion. Taking the stress away from people is something that I just enjoy for some strange reason. I love being able to use my talents and skills to put together and put on an amazing event. Especially when it gets down to the wire, I love the pressure of making it happen, and being able to creatively problem-solve in the moment. I love it when something happens during an event and I am able to handle it (Olivia Pope style) and the event host did not even know. I also love making new friends with people and couples I work with.
As for my personal life, my fiancé and I are in the process of not just planning our own wedding, but making the transition into a tiny house. (Yes, like the ones on HGTV) Our plan is to move to a new city every two years for the next 10 years to just explore this great country we live in, see where we want to eventually settle down, and also get the chance to do events all over. Having a tiny house will keep my cost of living down allowing me to travel for events but not charge crazy travel fees.
